Black Panther #17
Part four of "Bride of the Panther" arrives with a cover by Joseph Michael Linsner that frames T'Challa and Storm in a warm, portrait-style medallion set against a glowing African sunset — lightning crackles in the stormy sky above while a black panther with gleaming golden eyes watches from the foreground shadows. The tenderness of the pose, his arms around her and her silver hair flowing freely, makes the "Wedding of the Century" banner feel entirely earned. With Reginald Hudlin writing and the art team of Scot Eaton, Klaus Janson, and Dean White handling the interiors, this 2006 issue is a fine chapter in one of Marvel's most romantic storylines.
