This 1995 issue of DC's Black Lightning arrives with a haunting cover by Eddy Newell — a strikingly detailed, near-monochromatic image of Black Lightning engulfed by a crushing wave of skeletons and skeletal remains, his glowing fist the only spark of resistance against the overwhelming tide. Subtitled "Requiem," the cover sets a grimly atmospheric tone that writer Tony Isabella and artist Eddy Newell clearly leaned into for this fifth chapter. It's a visually arresting piece that promises something heavy and consequential within.
