Sersi and the Black Knight are trying to return home to their own time when they find themselves in ancient Jerusalem with Dane inhabiting the body of his ancestor, Eobar Garrington. Eobar's friend Bennet seeks out a fabled Egyptian fortress and is transformed into Exodus by Apocalypse. In order to sever all ties to his old life, Apocalypse commands that Exodus kill the Black Knight. Sersi and Dane defeat Exodus and head for home.
