“Black Kiss Book Ten”

"Black Kiss Book Ten" delivers a pulse-pounding escalation in Howard Chaykin’s dark, gothic series, as Magda—Grove’s granddaughter and the nun who stole Father Murtaugh’s reel—makes a desperate plea to become a vampire, her motives tangled in blood and family. With Pollack caught between warring desires and shifting loyalties, the tension coils tighter as survival hangs in the balance. Chaykin’s stark, visceral art—enhanced by Ella Vine’s contributions and Ken Bruzenak’s sharp lettering—anchors the story’s haunting mood, while Chaykin’s cover pencils and inks capture the story’s grim intensity.

One of The Order, a young woman called Magda, wants Grove to only make her a vampire. This is because she is Grove's granddaughter, she was also the nun who stole the reel from Father Murtaugh earlier in the story. Pollack becomes caught in the middle as everyone around him attempts to win, leaving Pollack in a position where he seems unable to survive.
