Black Hammer Reborn #8

Jeff Lemire continues his emotionally charged run on Black Hammer Reborn with issue #8, featuring a striking cover by Caitlin Yarsky that puts the tension front and center — a snarling, wide-eyed gorilla in a burgundy uniform presses against what appears to be a porthole or hatch, while two alarmed human figures crowd behind it in matching attire, their expressions caught somewhere between shock and terror. It's a tightly composed, unsettling image that makes excellent use of confined space and raw facial expression. Malachi Ward and Matthew Sheean handle the interiors of "Inspector Insector In: The Case of the Electric Boy Part Four," rounding out a talented creative team for this 2022 Dark Horse chapter.
