This issue contains two stories featuring Black Fury, the wild stallion. In "Man for the Gallows," Black Fury must save Buck Willer from a lynch mob in Big Oak when the townspeople decide Willer must die, with only the horse standing between the hate-maddened posse and their victim. In "Boss Man of Logan Creek," a quick-gunned rancher who earned fear from all men finally meets his match when a mongrel dog proves instrumental in his downfall, leading him to reflect on his harsh ways.
