Black Cat Comics #51

From Harvey Comics' Black Cat Mystery line comes this August 1954 issue promising "Strangest Tales of Fear and Superstition!" — and the cover by Lee Elias delivers exactly that mood. A lurching, moss-draped swamp creature dominates the scene, rising from dark, rippling waters beside what appears to be an old mill, its reflection shimmering in reds and purples beneath a brooding sky. With interior art by Bob Powell and a story titled "The Old Mill Scream," this is a wonderfully unsettling slice of mid-1950s horror anthology comics.
