“Thieves Like Us”

"Thieves Like Us" kicks off a bold new chapter for Black Cat with writer Jed MacKay and artist Travel Foreman, delivering a slick, supernatural caper where Felicia Hardy teams up with the mysterious Black Fox to pull off the ultimate heist—robbing Doctor Strange himself. With a magically unstable recruit named Xander in tow and a high-stakes score in the form of the original deed to Manhattan, the plan unfolds in Strange’s magically warded mansion, where every trap tests their skill and nerve. Cover by J. Scott Campbell captures the tension and flair of a heist that’s as dangerous as it is unpredictable.

The Black Fox and Black Cat plan a heist but first need to pick up a magically-powered ‘merlin’ to help them as they plan to rob… Doctor Strange! They pick up the nearly incoherent Xander, who manages to open Strange’s front door. Now jobless, Sonny is offered work by Odessa Drake. In Strange’s mansion, Felicia, Dr. Korpse, Bruno and Xander make it past all the obstacles to the trophy room, where Felicia takes the original deed to Manhattan. They lose track of Xander, who grabs his long-lost Star-Stone, which instantly transforms him into the powerful and dangerous Xander the Merciless!
