Black Cat #5

This fifth issue of Felicia Hardy's 2019 solo series announces itself with a J. Scott Campbell cover that puts Black Cat front and center — smiling, confident, in her signature black costume — while a ring of golden panels radiates outward to show glimpses of her many lives: underwater escapes, rooftop acrobatics, a fiery confrontation, a shadowy figure behind bars, a snarling foe, and, looming above it all, Spider-Man's masked face framed by webbing. The word "lives" curled in gold beside her feels entirely fitting for a character who always lands on her feet. With Jed MacKay writing and Travel Foreman on interior art, this chapter of "Yancy St. Shuffle" promises the slick thrills that have made this run such a treat.
