Part of Marvel's Legacy initiative, this 2018 issue heralds the Midnight King's return to Earth with a cover composition that's genuinely hard to look away from. Black Bolt crouches atop a massive, ornately detailed mechanical arm while a figure in orange robes tumbles helplessly below him toward the waiting maw of a monstrous creature at the bottom of the image — the teal background making every element pop with quiet intensity. Christian Ward's art here does what it does throughout this run: turns power and peril into something that feels almost painterly.
