Issue five of this six-part 2015 miniseries delivers the kind of offbeat charm that makes Bizarro such a delightful corner of the DC universe. Gustavo Duarte's cover art captures the imperfect Superman analog in full cape and costume, struggling along on crutches while carrying what appears to be a horse — all under the looming threat of massive green tentacles curling down from above, with a masked figure peering through one of the coils. It's a wonderfully absurd image that neatly encapsulates the series' mix of superhero spectacle and gleeful, irreverent humor.
