Gustavo Duarte, born May 19, 1977, in São Paulo, Brazil, is a comics artist celebrated for his wordless storytelling, where character expression and physical comedy carry the narrative. He entered the field through Brazilian independent comics before gaining international attention for his silent, slapstick style. Duarte is best known for his work on *Bizarro* for DC Comics, where his knack for visual gags and exaggerated body language perfectly suited the character's absurdity. He also contributed to Marvel’s *Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur*, as well as the all-ages titles *Dear DC Super-Villains* and *Dear Justice League*, often handling art, coloring, and inking. His key collaborators include writers such as Amanda Deibert and Franco Aureliani. Duarte’s style—clean, expressive, and cartoonish—relies on minimal dialogue, making his comics accessible across languages. His later work includes *Guardiões da Galáxia: Marvel 75 Anos* and various DC projects into the 2020s.
