Billy the Kid pursues outlaws into a secret canyon hideout, where he encounters a dying old man who reveals knowledge of a hidden treasure and warns him that the canyon's Apache inhabitants will kill anyone who learns the secret. After narrowly escaping an Apache attack, Billy discovers that a water poisoner named Mort Stuart has contaminated the water supply, forcing the Apache to abandon their territory. Billy must overcome Stuart and his gang to restore the water and save the land.
