Billy the Kid #21

This issue contains two stories. "Smuggler's Rest" features Billy the Kid intervening when a gang leader allows Billy to escape to set a trap, only for Billy to outmaneuver them with help from a local sheriff who arrests the gang. In "Rocky Lane's Black Jack: Warpath," Rocky Lane aids Major Vittorio and his Apaches in their military mission at Fort Grant, where a traitor within their ranks nearly costs Vittorio his life; Rocky helps expose the treachery and the Apaches successfully complete their dangerous mission. Billy later recovers a stolen paint pony and returns it to its rightful owner, resolving the horse-theft plot.
