In "null," a jazz musician and former heroin addict named Cass Pollack is pulled into a dangerous game when two enigmatic figures, Laine and Grove, offer him a chance at redemption: steal a forbidden pornographic reel from the Vatican in exchange for an alibi. With both the Mafia and the police hunting him—his wife and daughter murdered, and his name the only one on the list of suspects—Pollack must decide whether to trust those who seem to know more than they should.
