Betty and Veronica #203

A costume party at the Lodge mansion sets the scene for this 2004 entry in Archie Comics' beloved title, with Veronica dolled up as a fairy-tale princess waving her wand and asking, "What one wish would you like me to grant?" — while a flustered older gentleman on the staircase warns that her party is ending real soon. Betty arrives in a Robin Hood–style green outfit, Archie sports a dapper vampire cape, and a red-clad devil peeks in from the corner, adding a mischievous edge to the festivities. Jeff Shultz and Henry Scarpelli bring the whole colorful gathering to life with the light, cheerful energy that makes Betty and Veronica such a perennial pleasure.
