“Betty Cooper, Betty Cooper! (Part 1)”

In "Betty Cooper, Betty Cooper! (Part 1)," Betty finds herself in an unexpected situation when she’s mistaken for Veronica and forced to play along with a group of kidnappers. As she navigates the strange household, she’s both repulsed by the mess and determined to improve it—cleaning, cooking, and even sending Beamish to the store for groceries. With Stan Goldberg’s expressive art and a vibrant color palette by Barry Grossman, this 1976 issue captures Betty’s quiet defiance and resourcefulness in a moment of high tension.
