Berserk #2
This second volume of the German edition of Kentaro Miura's dark fantasy epic continues Guts' journey as a lone mercenary, now accompanied by the mischievous elf Puck. The story delves deeper into the brutal world of medieval warfare and supernatural horrors, while beginning to hint at the tragic past that drives the Black Swordsman's relentless quest for vengeance.
In "Ein Schutzengel namens Begierde (2)", Puck is held captive by the Graf, who plans to gift him to his daughter, while Guts infiltrates the castle to assassinate the nobleman—only to face Comandante Sondaag, now a puppet in the Graf’s twisted scheme. Written by Kentaro Miura and Hans Hermann Haupt, with art and inks by Miura, and lettering by Monica Rossi, this 2001 Panini Deutschland release delivers another chapter of relentless tension and grim atmosphere, with cover art by Miura himself.
