Beavis & Butt-Head #20

MTV's favorite slackers are at it again in this October 1995 installment from Marvel's Absurd imprint. The cover by Rick Parker finds Beavis and Butt-Head in a suburban backyard, hedge clippers in hand, while a bewildered neighbor in a straw hat and shorts contemplates a very elaborately — and suspiciously — shaped topiary bush, with Butt-Head's speech bubble making the joke unmistakably clear. The side-panel strip adds even more suburban mayhem, hinting that this issue delivers the kind of lowbrow, genuinely funny chaos that made the duo such a cultural touchstone in 1995.
