Batwing #30

Batwing rockets skyward above a glittering cityscape on Dan Panosian's striking cover for issue #30, the armored hero's wings spread wide as he claws toward the top of the frame with fierce momentum. The cover tagline — "Soaring to new heights… but for how long?" — hints at a story full of tension, and writers Justin Gray and Palmiotti, alongside artist Eduardo Pansica and inker Júlio Ferreira, are clearly swinging for something ambitious with "Underbelly." If you've been following this New 52 series, this June 2014 chapter looks like a compelling place to be.
