After being defeated by Batman, Bane is incarcerated at Blackgate prison and goes into therapy in order to deal with the withdrawal symptoms from the Venom steroids, and to start his rehabilitation process. Bane ends up in solitary confinement and spends 6 months training and making alliances to facilitate his escape. Bane tracks down a Venom supplier in order to shut down their operations, but the Batman intervenes. Bane claims that he is a changed man, an innocent man, and escapes.
