The penultimate issue of this 2016 DC/IDW crossover event delivers a cover that says it all: Shredder stands triumphant atop the gates of Arkham Asylum while a full-scale riot of mutated Gotham villains — the Joker, the Riddler, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, and a horde of transformed inmates — surge through the entrance below him. Freddie E. Williams II's cover art captures the sheer chaos of Gotham's rogues gallery unleashed in genuinely unsettling fashion, with Foot Clan soldiers flanking the gates to complete the nightmare scenario. James Tynion IV's story premise — hinted at right there in the title "Deadly Mutant Arkham Inmates" — makes this one of the most imaginative issues of the series.
