Batman / Tarzan: Claws of the Cat-Woman #3

Part 3 of 4 in this DC/Dark Horse crossover brings the tension to a striking peak, with Dave Dorman's painted cover depicting Batman swooping in from above while a bare-chested Tarzan battles forward against armed opponents in what appears to be an ancient stone setting. A woman with Egyptian-styled hair fills the foreground, bound and imperiled, as a figure wielding a revolver looms nearby — the whole composition radiating the kind of pulp-adventure urgency that makes this Ron Marz and Igor Kordey collaboration so engaging. With the story heading into its penultimate chapter, this 1999 crossover continues to make the most of two very different heroes sharing one dangerous world.
