Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #151

The third chapter of "Grimm" arrives in 2002 with one of the more unsettling cover images in the Legends of the Dark Knight run — a massive, wide-eyed face wearing gold-rimmed glasses dominates the frame, its gaping mouth open wide as a tiny but defiant Batman crouches atop the figure's enormous clenched fist. John Cassaday's cover work plays cleverly with scale, making the Dark Knight look simultaneously vulnerable and resolute against this looming, almost fairy-tale-giant presence. With J. M. DeMatteis writing and Trevor Von Eeden on interior art (inked by José Luis García-López), this five-part story is shaping up to be one of the more distinctive arcs of Batman's early 2000s anthology series.
