Written by Mike W. Barr with art by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer, the story sees Batman confronting a new vigilante who wields a gun, forcing him to revisit the trauma of his parents' murder by Joe Chill. The volume features appearances by key Gotham figures including Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Dick Grayson, Harvey Dent, and the Joker, as Bruce Wayne grapples with the legacy of violence and his own code against killing.
In "Full Circle," Mike W. Barr and Alan Davis deliver a haunting twist on Gotham’s darkest legacy, as Joseph Chill—son of the man who killed Bruce Wayne’s parents—steps into the Reaper’s mask. With a chilling personal vendetta and a sister’s uneasy alliance, Joseph targets Rachel Caspian, forcing Batman into a psychological trap built on grief and memory. Alan Davis’s dynamic art, rendered with Mark Farmer’s sharp inks, brings every shadow and revelation to life, while Todd Klein’s lettering and Tom Ziuko’s colors deepen the tension.

The Reaper re-appears, but this time it is Joe Chill's son Joseph in the costume. Afraid her father has returned, Rachel Caspian heads to Gotham. Walking past the Wayne Foundation, Rachel runs into the Reaper. Batman saves her, but Chill manages to retrieve his father's gun. Working with his sister Marcia, Joseph kidnaps Rachel to use her as bait. Trapping Batman, the Chills use a psychoactive drug and a filmed re-enactment of his parents' deaths to try to drive the hero to suicide. But with a double-cross by Marcia and the help of Robin, Batman puts an end to Joseph's time as the Reaper.
