Batman: Detective Comics #1
In "The Neighborhood Part 1," Batman and Huntress race to contain the spread of a terrifying parasitic infection that's turning ordinary citizens into violent monsters—while Batman is also forced to confront Roland Worth, a man consumed by grief and convinced that Bruce Wayne’s identity is the root of his daughter’s death. Written by Mariko Tamaki and illustrated by Viktor Bogdanovic with inks by Daniel Henriques, Norm Rapmund, and Bogdanovic, the issue blends psychological tension with visceral action, all rendered in Jordie Bellaire’s vivid colors and Aditya Bidikar’s sharp lettering. Dan Mora’s cover captures the eerie, claustrophobic mood of Gotham’s streets under siege.
