Batman Beyond #9

Part four of "Rise of the Demon" arrives with a cover that says everything you need to know: a bloodied blade cuts through the silhouette of Batman Beyond's suit as a green-clad, ornately armored figure looms over the fallen hero in a snow-flecked void, proclaiming "The Demon Lives!" Bernard Chang's cover composition is razor-sharp, using negative space and crimson streaks to deliver an immediate sense of danger. Dan Jurgens and Chang's Rebirth-era run continues to push Terry McGinnis into genuinely threatening territory, and this issue looks every bit as intense as that promise demands.
