Batman and Robin #24

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this December 2013 installment of Batman and Two-Face drops readers into "The Big Burn: First Strike" with a cover by Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray that's as tense as the title suggests. Batman strides forward at center, flanked by two armed figures in trench coats, while looming above them are a mysterious red-haired woman and the split visages of Two-Face — his scarred and unscarred sides rendered in striking contrast. Writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason clearly have a full cast of players in motion, and this issue looks like a compelling entry point into their ongoing storyline.
