Brian Bolland's cover for this 1990 issue presents a striking and inventive composition: Batman looms large across the front page of a Soviet newspaper, framed by Cyrillic text and USSR insignia, the headline reading "АМЕРИКАНСКИЙ ГЕРОЙ" — "American Hero."
