Part four of "Zero Year: Dark City" arrives with one of 2014's most unsettling cover images: Batman's cowl fills the frame, but where his face should be, an enormous maw of jagged, predatory teeth gapes open — equal parts Dark Knight and deep-sea nightmare. Greg Capullo and Danny Miki deliver a cover that strips the familiar silhouette down to something primal and threatening, making you wonder exactly what Gotham is turning its protector into. Scott Snyder's New 52 Batman saga continues to push into genuinely dark territory, and this issue promises more of the same.
