Over the next several days, Luke and Miguel grow closer as they pursue Miguel's AIDS activism, while Boa Boaz roams the city in the form of Officer O'Toole, killing random citizens. Luke finally confesses to Miguel and reveals himself as Barbalien. Later, after a confrontation with his fellow officers, Markz is cornered by O'Toole, who resumes his true form and fires his weapon.
