The concluding chapter of Mike Mignola and Guy Davis's "Plague of Frogs" arc arrives with one of the most striking images of 2004: a dark-haired woman in a tactical jacket strides forward through a wall of roaring flame, her expression grim and determined — a portrait of someone who has clearly been through it. Below her, a inset panel reveals a cluster of ghoulish, decomposing figures bathed in sickly green light, a reminder of the supernatural horrors the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense is up against. Guy Davis's linework gives the whole cover a raw, kinetic energy that makes this a satisfying payoff to the series.
