Avengers & X-Men: Axis #8

Book Three of Marvel's Avengers & X-Men: AXIS arrives with issue #8, the second chapter of "New World Disorder," written by Rick Remender with interior art by Leinil Francis Yu. Jim Cheung's cover splits the composition dramatically along a crackling diagonal, with an armored, hooded figure conjuring green energy dominating the lower left while a sprawling cast of heroes and villains — including Spider-Man, Thor, a caped figure in red and gold, and many more — collide in fierce, kinetic combat across both halves. It's a densely packed, energetic tableau that captures the scale and tension this crossover series has been building throughout 2015.
