“Personal Magnetism”

Magneto sits enthroned at the center of this striking 1990 cover, one hand raised in command while Iron Man, the Wasp, Hawkeye, and U.S. Agent are scattered and staggered around him — a vivid picture of a team caught badly off-balance. The bold "Rematch with Magneto!" caption says everything you need to know about the stakes, and Paul Ryan's clean, dynamic linework makes every figure pop with real energy. Roy and Dann Thomas were crafting some genuinely compelling team drama during this era, and "Personal Magnetism" looks like a worthy entry in that run.
