Avengers vs. the Pet Avengers #[nn]
In "It's Not Easy Being Green," Thor’s heroic act takes a bizarre turn when his mischievous brother Loki transforms him into a frog, setting off a chain of chaos that lands the tiny god in Peter Parker’s biology class. With a dissection frog that’s anything but ordinary, Spider-Man must team up with the transformed Thor—now Frog of Thunder—to reclaim his hammer and undo Loki’s spell, all while dodging a kiss from Mary Jane that might just be the key. Written and illustrated by Chris Eliopoulos, with a cover by Ig Guara, this 2011 adventure blends humor and heart in a story that’s as unexpected as it is delightful.

Thor saves a woman from being mugged and, when she kisses him in thanks, he is transformed into a frog by his evil brother, Loki. Peter arrives late for class and finds that he has to dissect a frog. When the frog breaks his glass killing jar, Peter knows something is up and Spider-Man takes the frog back to Central Park. Recovering his hammer, the frog becomes Thor, Frog of Thunder and he and Spider-Man return to face down Loki and break the curse (with a little kiss from Mary Jane to boot).
