As the crew and Rident take Kargg back to their ship, they are surrounded by the planet's primary lifeform-- an all but invincible colony of insects that eat metal. Their only weakness lies in Babe's physiology, who then is set loose to clear the rocket pods so the ship can take off. But he is swarmed by the insects before he finish the job.
