Astérix #8
This classic French album collects the full adventure of Astérix chez les Bretons, in which Astérix and Obélix travel across the Channel to help their British cousins resist Roman occupation. Along the way they encounter a host of colorful characters, including the British chieftain Jolitorax and the Roman governor Claudius Lapsus, while dealing with the peculiar customs of the Britons. Originally serialized in Pilote in 1965–1966, this Dargaud edition presents the complete story by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo in its original French language format.
In this 1966 installment of the Astérix series published by Dargaud, the titular Gaul and his companions journey to Brittany, where they encounter local characters including Abraracourcix, Assurancetourix, and Jolitorax, alongside Roman figures such as Caius Roideprus and Claudius Lapsus, with Idéfix making his usual appearance. The story unfolds through the signature blend of humor and historical satire, with art by Albert Uderzo and inking, coloring, and lettering by Marcel Uderzo.
