The roller rink is in full swing on this 1979 entry in the long-running Archie's Pals 'n' Gals series, with Archie proudly boasting about his "cheap skates" while Veronica leans in close and a disapproving Reggie looks on — prompting the deadpan aside, "No wonder Betty digs Archie!" Meanwhile, Betty herself is nearby lacing up her own skates, blissfully unaware of the commentary. Dan DeCarlo's pencils and Rudy Lapick's inks capture the gang's breezy, good-natured chemistry with all the charm that made this series a staple of Archie Comics Group.
