Archie's Pal Jughead Comics #82

Through the window of a house, a hapless figure in a purple shirt is completely submerged in a flood of water — Jughead's dog Hot Dog visible near the bottom — while outside, a well-dressed couple arrives home to discover the soggy disaster unfolding before them. The speech bubbles say it all: someone asked if the leaky faucet would get fixed, and the cheerful reply was "Don't worry, Jughead said he would!" Stan Goldberg's pencils and Mike Esposito's inks bring this July 1996 comedy of home-repair confidence gone spectacularly wrong to life with the warm, expressive charm that makes Archie Comics such a perennial delight.
