Archie's Pal Jughead #5
In "Femmes and Fowls," Jughead finds himself caught in a whirlwind of misunderstandings when he helps Moose write poems for the new girl, Midgie. With the girls convinced Jughead is secretly smitten, they threaten to punish Moose unless he stops pursuing Midgie—leaving Jughead to beg his friend to beat him up rather than face the wrath of the angry girls. George Frese’s art brings the classic Archie charm to life, while Bob Montana’s iconic cover captures the lighthearted chaos of the moment.

Jughead helps Moose by writing poems for the new girl, Midgie. Other girls think Jughead is writing the poems on his own behalf and they threaten to beat up Moose if he hurts Jughead. Jughead begs Moose to beat him up rather than face girls who think Jughead is truly a romantic, but Moose is scared of what the girls might do to him.
