“Duel Personality”

In "Duel Personality," Archie faces off against Maurice in a dramatic showdown to win Veronica's favor, only to find his rival dangerously skilled with both sword and pistol. As tensions rise, Jughead steps in with a surprisingly effective twist—Archie’s glove, borrowed from the famously clumsy football star, becomes the unexpected key to the duel’s outcome. Art by Samm Schwartz brings the high-stakes antics to life in this classic 1965 issue, with every panel charged with the humor and charm of the Archie universe.

Archie prepares to duel Maurice in order to win back Veronica. He realizes Maurice is too good with a sword and too good with a pistol. He prepares to fist fight him, but a big lunk interferes and Maurice pummels him handily. Before they begin the official duel, Jughead insists Archie must slap Maurice's face with a glove. Jughead lets him use his baseball glove, which takes care of Maurice.
