Archie's Joke Book Magazine #124
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1968 gem from Archie Comics delivers a perfectly timed two-panel gag right on its cover: a green-uniformed Ace Pest Control worker assures Mr. Lodge that they can eliminate "all types of pests," while the bottom panel reveals Lodge on the phone, glancing back at The Archies band rocking out loudly in his living room — Archie on guitar, the gang in full swing — as he tells the exterminator he has "three pests" to deal with. It's a wonderfully constructed visual punchline that shows off the playful wit George Gladir and Al Hartley brought to Riverdale humor. Fans of lighthearted comedy and the gang's musical antics will find this one a charming snapshot of late-'60s Archie fun.
