“Silent Night?”

Holiday warmth radiates from this 1974 giant-sized special, as Archie strums his guitar for a roomful of delighted children at the Riverdale Orphanage, with Veronica smiling nearby and a decorated Christmas tree filling the background. The cover's speech bubbles — "Love is the greatest Christmas gift in the world!" and "Right on, Archie, love is where it's at!" — perfectly capture the season's spirit while Betty can be spotted trimming the tree above. A cheerful, feel-good package from Archie Comics that pairs the Riverdale gang with genuine seasonal goodwill.

Archie and the gang are trapped in a blizzard and spend the night in a home where a child had died on Christmas Eve a hundred years ago and his mother's ghost was still there weeping for him. They set up the Christmas tree that they were transporting and place their gifts under the tree and while they sleep the boy's ghost is finally able to enjoy his last Christmas.
