“Making It Big!”

In "Making It Big!", Archie and the gang revisit their musical roots when a surprise visitor from the past—Rod, a former bandmate—returns to the garage that once echoed with their early rehearsals. With dreams of fame on the line, the Archies head to a national audition, only to fall apart under the pressure, leading to a temporary breakup. A few days later, an unexpected knock at the door brings them back together—this time, not for a chance at stardom, but to help a legendary rock star, Rod LeRock, honor his past. Written by George Gladir and illustrated by Stan Goldberg, with inks by Bob Smith and colors by Barry Grossman, the story blends nostalgia and second chances, all wrapped in Dan Parent’s dynamic cover art.

Archie shows his garage to a guy named Rod who used to practice with his band there way back when. The Archies then go to a national audition in order to get on TV, but they mess up at the audition. Tempers flare and the Archies split up. A few days later, Archie calls the gang back together just as Rod knocks and asks the Archies to be in a TV segment about his old rock band. Turns out that Rod is really Rod LeRock, a famous rock and roll musician.
