“Our Girl in Rome -or- Something Swiss Is Amiss (Archie World Tour part 4)”

Part four of the Archie World Tour lands in Rome, and Rex Lindsey's cover captures the gang's Italian adventure with pure comic charm — Archie himself has ducked into a museum painting, dressed in a Roman laurel wreath and toga, whispering "Hold still! They won't see us!" while two unsuspecting visitors stroll past below. Flanking him in neighboring gilded frames are a regal-looking Veronica done up in Renaissance finery and Betty posed in ancient Roman attire, both apparently in on the disguise. Writer Alex Simmons keeps the globe-trotting fun rolling in this 2008 installment, which promises Roman holiday hijinks with a mysteriously Swiss twist.
