When Archie realizes that Bethany is at Veronica's house, he plans to still meet her there. Bethany's father is a wigmaker and Bethany's rad hairstyle is just a wig. Mr. Dalyrimple then gives copies of the wig to Betty, Veronica and Mr. Lodge to wear. Thinking that each is Bethany, Archie tries to court all of them except Bethany, with humorous results. Chuck then gets his inspiration: a comic starring Archie and his comedic escapades.
