“Double Trouble”

A sun-soaked, playful scene greets readers on this Dan DeCarlo cover: Archie stands wide-eyed at the door as a sporty red-haired girl — baseball glove in hand and cap on her head — waits outside, while a woman (likely Archie's mom) relays the message via speech bubble: "Archie, Cheryl wants to know if you can come out and play?!" It's classic Riverdale charm, capturing that perfect mix of teenage awkwardness and easy summer fun that made these digests such a joy in 1995. With a story titled "Double Trouble" inside, this issue promises plenty of the lighthearted mischief that keeps fans coming back to Archie Annual Digest again and again.

Archie walks by Jughead's backyard, where Jughead is lying in a hammock, making strange motions with his hand. When Archie asks him what he's doing, Jughead responds that he's practicing for that night's championship. Archie walks off, assuming Jughead was giving him a silly answer due to his silly question. In the last panel, we see Jughead at the Valley Pinball Championship, using the same motion he was practicing earlier to pull the plunger on the pinball machine.
