The tenth issue of this giant-series annual captures a perfectly Riverdale moment: Archie stands flustered at a record player, caught between Veronica demanding he spin her Elvis album and Betty insisting he promised to play her "Love Letters" record next — while Jughead and Reggie comment from the corners with their usual wisecracks. Harry Lucey's cover pencils nail the era's teenage record-hop energy, right down to the 45s scattered across the turntable and the gang's wonderfully expressive faces. At 25 cents in 1958, this oversized annual packed in plenty of Riverdale fun, including the story "Popular Demand" crafted by writer Frank Doyle and artist Samm Schwartz.
