“The Vandal Scandal”

In "The Vandal Scandal," Mr. Weatherbee’s beach day takes a sticky turn when Archie volunteers to help with suntan lotion—only for a mix-up to leave the principal green from head to toe. Penciled by Al Hartley, this 1971 classic captures the usual chaos of Riverdale with a splash of accidental slapstick, all under a cover by the same artist.

Mr. Weatherbee decides he needs to go to the beach to get a tan. As usual, he runs into Archie (literally) at the beach and Archie volunteers to put some suntan lotion on Mr. Weatherbee's back. Distracted by the pretty girls, Archie grabs the wrong bottle and Mr. Weatherbee ends up covered in green stain.
