Archie and Me #20
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIt's birthday time at Riverdale High as this 1968 Archie Series issue puts the spotlight firmly on the school's gruff-but-lovable principal, Mr. Weatherbee, whose "Happy Birthday" cake sits front and center while a girl in a flower-print dress teases him about his birthday wish — one she claims she's already granted. Archie (sporting a party hat and a face full of question marks) and a few familiar Riverdale faces round out the festive scene framed in a film-strip border, with a playful chase between a wild-haired man and a mischievous monkey stealing the corner spotlight above. Joe Edwards handles both the writing and art, with Jon D'Agostino on inks and lettering, giving the whole cover that warm, breezy charm the Archie Series did so well in the Silver Age.
